No single font can represent the diverse messages communicated by UT Pan American colleges, schools, departments, offices, centers, programs and other official units. The font used in the official stationery and business cards is Palatino. Following are some general guidelines to consider when choosing a font:

• Choose a font that is easily read in the size and color you are using.
• Choose a font that fits the message you want to convey to your audience.
• Avoid using more than two to three fonts on a single surface.
• Choose a font that includes variances such as light, medium, bold and italic.
• Avoid using script typefaces in all caps.
